LMETB has applied to the Department of Education and Skills to be the patron of a new 600 post primary school to open in September 2019 in the Laytown and Drogheda area. Please click here to view our submission to the Department of Education and Skills including an overview of LMETB, our vision for Coláiste Ros na Rí and the advantages of choosing LMETB as the patron for the new school.
In the Laytown and Drogheda area, LMETB currently manage St. Oliver’s Community College, Drogheda and Colaiste na hInse, Laytown, the two largest post primary schools in the proposed School Planning Area. LMETB is also joint patron of Ballymakenny College, Drogheda which opened its doors in September 2014.
LMETB has an excellent tradition in new school start – ups. If LMETB are awarded patronage of this new post primary school, which we propose will be Coláiste Ros na Rí (see link to brochure here), we look forward to opening the doors to a new school which will offer a broad and balanced curriculum with a diverse range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities where the aptitudes of students are central to its design.
